ChatCop Summer 2026: Monthly Recap, Reason Prompts & a Bigger Boost Limit
If you caught our Spring update, you already know about per-provider mod roles, the ban button on logs, and false-negative reporting. Since then we’ve shipped two new features and a batch of fixes. Here’s everything that’s landed through June and July.
Monthly Recap
ChatCop now posts a recap card to your logs channel once a month, summarizing what it handled for you: messages deleted, members timed out, kicked, and banned, and how many messages got flagged as suspicious.
It’s on by default for every server. If you’d rather not receive it, open /config edit and toggle Monthly Recap off at the bottom.
Reason Prompt (Boost)
Some teams want a paper trail for every moderation decision. Boost servers can turn on Reason Prompt in /config boost, and the timeout, kick, and ban buttons on log messages will pop up a short form asking the moderator to explain why before the action goes through. The reason is then attached to the action itself, so it’s easy to look back and see not just what happened, but why.
It’s opt-in and off by default, so nothing changes unless you turn it on.
AntiScam: sharper detection
We keep tuning AntiScam based on real-world reports from our users. This update includes broader detection of newer scam patterns we’ve seen circulating, plus fixes for some false positives that were slipping through. We also fixed a bug where ChatCop could clash with Discord’s own built-in AutoMod.
Bigger Boost scan limit
The daily scan limit for Boost servers is now 10,000 scans per day - a large jump from before. If your server is large enough that even that isn’t enough, reach out to us and we’ll take a look at raising it further for you, case by case.
Smaller fixes and changes
- Fixed a crash-prone edge case where moderation could fail silently if a log message or its thread had been deleted.
- Report False Negative now only requires Manage Messages, not Administrator, so more of your moderation team can flag scams AntiScam missed.
- Fixed the daily scan limit shown in non-English languages, which could display the wrong number for premium servers.
/debugnow checks logs-channel permissions, so missing permissions show up before they cause problems instead of after.
All of the above is live on ChatCop now. Open /config edit to manage Monthly Recap, or /config boost if you’re on Boost and want to try Reason Prompt.
