ChatCop March 2026: AntiScam, Free Auto-Timeout & More

We’re thrilled to announce a major ChatCop update - a complete rewrite of the moderation engine, a brand-new AntiScam system, and a wave of quality-of-life improvements that make keeping your server safe easier than ever.

AntiScam Detection

ChatCop can now detect image-based scams and common spam patterns automatically. Whether it’s a fake MrBeast giveaway, celebrity impersonation, phishing attempts, link spam, or spoiler spam - ChatCop catches it and flags it for your moderators.

AntiScam works alongside AImod as a separate detection layer. No configuration needed - just enable it with /config antiscam edit and you’re protected.

Per-User Threaded Logs

Moderation logs have been completely redesigned. Instead of a flat stream of alerts, ChatCop now creates a dedicated thread for each user in your logs channel. Every flagged message from that user appears in their thread, making it easy to see patterns and history at a glance.

Each log message includes interactive Delete, Timeout, and Kick buttons so your moderators can take action without typing a single command.

Auto-Timeout - Now Free

Previously a Boost-only feature, auto-timeout is now free for everyone and enabled by default. When a user accumulates enough infractions in a short window, ChatCop automatically times them out for 1 hour and cleans up their flagged messages. It’s like having a moderator who never sleeps.

More Features, Now Free

We’ve moved several features from Boost to the free tier:

• Ignored Roles - exclude trusted roles from moderation
• /debug command - validates your entire server setup with clear pass/fail indicators for permissions, channels, and configuration
• /help command - a built-in getting started guide with command reference and support links
• False Positive Reporting - moderators can report AntiScam mistakes directly from log messages to help us improve detection

Cleaner Configuration

Gone are the individual configuration subcommands. All settings now use clean, organized modals that make setup fast and intuitive:

• /config edit - logs channel, ignored roles, mod role, auto timeout
• /config boost - deletion mode, custom message, action buttons
• /config antiscam edit - toggle AntiScam on or off
• /config aimod edit - toggle AImod on or off
• /config aimod warn_thresholds - modify the AImod warning thresholds
• /config aimod delete_thresholds - modify the AImod deletion thresholds

What’s Still Boost-Only?

ChatCop Boost continues to offer premium features for servers that need more:

• Moderation History (/mod history)
• Custom Deletion Messages
• Deletion Notification Mode (channel, DM, both, or silent)
• Action Button Control (enable/disable timeout/kick)
• 5,000 messages/day (vs 500 free)
• Priority Support

New to ChatCop? Getting started takes under a minute:

1. Add ChatCop to your server
2. Run /config edit to set your logs channel
3. That’s it - AImod and AntiScam are enabled by default
